The Need to Tell
Any notion of history relies on the aesthetic construction of a narrative. I am interested in the mechanisms of storytelling as the most ancient tool used by every community to shape and share their value system in order to survive.
On this occasion, José Manuel de Prada-Samper, PhD, and Helena Cuesta were invited to tell stories that speak about the very act of storytelling. After setting up the mandatory fire they delivered their performance.
The night continued in the form of a debate on the universal need to tell. Eventually, some members of the audience spontaneously told stories from their own traditions.
